The Garage
The Garage
Tucked away on the west-facing side of a small island outside the city of Seattle, lives a tiny building that lets in the very big elements of the surrounding landscape.
Created by lighting designers, Graypants, “Garage” is rich in features including a sliding wet bar and outdoor shower. But the abundance of windows and the glowing panels of light are the focus of this unique structure. It was an honor to be a part of this award winning project. When Graypants asked me to shoot the promotional material, they appreciated my approach to environmental lifestyle imagery and wanted the same technique to essentially capture portraits of their design. Adding people to any scene helps connect us to the imagery and in this case it really seemed to encompass the intent of Garage: a place to relax, entertain or explore creativity while feeling immersed in nature and the surrounding environment.
